Volvo together with polestar has developed a performance sedan based on S60 T6 to rival performance cars like BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG.
The mighty Polestar S60 has a tuned 3.0-litre straight six that’s been heavily uprated to produce an amazing 508hp which is 88hp more than current BMW M3. The Polestar Volvo S60 can hit 0-60 mph in 3.9 s and top speed of 186mph(298 kph). It is equipped with all-wheel drive system and a newly developed gearbox to cope up with extra power.
Special 19-inch Polestar wheels sit beneath wider front and rear wings. The front track is 20mm wider and is 40mm wider at the rear. The Polestar Volvo S60 is also 30mm lower overall. The chassis has been uprated with three-way adjustable Ohlins racing-style dampers, the steering has been enhanced and even anti-roll bars are new. In addition, the sedan has got a new front bumper with enlarged air intakes, new rear bumper with integrated diffuser and a small spoiler on the trunk lid. Inside cabin are re-designed sports seat with improved lateral support to perfect the driving position, and the interior is made of Alcantara.
Polestar’s development intent was to blend traditional Volvo attributes with a much higher level of handling and performance. According to the sources, Volvo is serious to Lauch this sedan as a Limited production vehicle soon.
