• 2013 Dodge Viper

  Finally the all new Dodge viper is back after it was discontinued two years ago. The new viper will be sold under the brand SRT (Street Racing Technology – a brand of Chrysler division). Dodge has designed the viper supercar by keeping family traits like a very long bonnet, front wings inflated with “gills” and side exhaust pipes. Frame is mostly made of high strength steel and aluminum. The drag coefficient of new viper is very low at 0.364 against 0.45 for its predecessor which is impressive. Dodge viper now weighs at 1521 kg which is also 45 kg (100 pounds) less than previous model. Under the hood lies all aluminum 8.4 liter V10 engine with new forged pistons and a different intake manifold.   We all remember futuristic BMW i8 coupe which was driven by Tom cruise in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. BMW now has unveiled i8 spyder convertible concept. It is a two seated car with a hybrid propulsion system consisting of a gasoline engine and an electric motor producing a decent 354 hp (combined) and 406 lb-ft of torque and with these figures of power and torque, the performance of the BMW Concept i8 spyder is a like a sport car. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. BMW i8 spyder has a slighter short wheelbase as compare to coupe. • Lamborghini Aventador J – Jota alias “Yota” – A collector’s car

  Lamborghini had revealed its latest supercar Aventador Jota at Geneva motor show. It is a two seater roadster based on Aventador with open body, no roof or windshield. The structure is made of carbon fibre and aluminum. The engine is same as 6.5 liter V12 developing 700 bhp from Aventador.  Its super-fast ISR transmission, permanent all-wheel drive and push-rod suspension combine this potent power with the utmost handling precision. This is a unique piece of art and a technological marvel produced by the Italian firm. The name “J” is a tribute to the technical specifications of various kinds of competitions organized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA).   Hyundai had recently revealed pictures of 2013 Santa Fe SUV which will go on sale in summer 2012. Hyundai will debut the new Santa Fe at New York auto show. The new Santa Fe is based on Hyundai familiar yet elegant Fluidic design pattern also termed as Storm Edge. It will be equipped with daytime LED and a new hexagonal front grill. Hyundai Santa Fe since its release has sold more than 2.5 million models worldwide.

  The new Lamborghini aventador with its massive 6.5 liter V12 produces 700 bhp , 690 Nm of torque and comes with permanent all wheel drive system. The engine can be seen from the outside through a transparent cover that is available as an option. As usual the name Aventador is taken from a bull that stood for its courage in the bullring in Zaragoza. It has an all new Aluminum and carbon fiber light weight body that provides strength and rigidity. As a result it weighs only 1,650 kilograms (3637 lbs) which is phenomenal for V12 engine sports car. It comes equipped with a new automatic gearbox and according to Lamborghini gear changes are executed faster than in any gearbox, either manual or automatic and are lighter than dual clutch unit. The body of aventador has useful vents that open and close depending upon outside temperature and cooling needs.
