2013 Dodge Viper
Finally the all new Dodge viper is back after it was discontinued two years ago. The new viper will be sold under the brand SRT (Street Racing Technology – a brand of Chrysler division). Dodge has designed the viper supercar by keeping family traits like a very long bonnet, front wings inflated with “gills” and side exhaust pipes. Frame is mostly made of high strength steel and aluminum. The drag coefficient of new viper is very low at 0.364 against 0.45 for its predecessor which is impressive. Dodge viper now weighs at 1521 kg which is also 45 kg (100 pounds) less than previous model. Under the hood lies all aluminum 8.4 liter V10 engine with new forged pistons and a different intake manifold. As a result it now produces 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque.
